Default Desert's Guild Wars Journeys

I've been playing GW since Prophecies. Some of you know me in-game as Desert Something-or-other.

A couple of years ago I decided to make a video to remember Guild Wars. I worked on it off and on for about a year. With Guild Wars 2 upon us, I thought now would be a good time to share Desert's GW Journeys - made from the sights and sounds of Guild Wars.

Watch in high definition (720p) if you can....

Nice vid, and a lovely reminder of the days when GW was a challenge and the proph missions took some working out - and you had to stop every now and then just to take in the beautiful scenery

Great video! Prophecies was the first campaign I played, and it's been a while since I've gone back through it...this brings back such fond memories ^_^

Thanks for the positive comments.

The thing I enjoyed the most making the video was doing the fight scenes up close in 1st-person view. My initial experiments with the usual 3rd-person view yielded familiar, uninteresting fight scenes that we all have seen a million times. Up-close, there is a lot of graphics detail that the player usually doesn't notice.

All-in-all it gave me an even greater appreciation for the beauty of the game.

This video reminds me of the time when I first played Guild Wars, where everything was new to me. Good job.
